What we collect and why
Last updated 12 October 2026
Rank Me ranks your screen time on WhatsApp, X or Instagram against everyone else who has uploaded a screenshot here. There are no accounts and we never ask for your name or phone number. This page says what we keep, why, who helps us run the site, and how to have your data deleted.
When you upload a screenshot
- The screenshot. A smaller copy is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, which reads the app's time from it. If it can be read, we keep the original for 30 days so we can check entries that look faked, then it is deleted automatically. If it can't be read, we don't keep it.
- Your result. Which app you were ranked on, your daily time on it, the country you chose, whether your phone is an iPhone or Android, whether the figure came from a weekly total, and when you uploaded. It is stored under a random ID, not your name. We keep it for as long as the rankings run, because it is part of everyone's rank.
- A scrambled form of your IP address. We don't store your IP address itself. We store a one-way, salted hash of it with your result. We use it to limit how often one connection can upload or sign up, and to spot many entries coming from one connection. It is deleted with your result.
If you add a name when you confirm, it is shown with your daily time and country on the public leaderboard. It's optional, and we remove names that break the rules. Your result page and share card can be seen by anyone who has the link. They show the app, your rank, your daily time (and whether it came from a weekly total) and your country, and nothing else about you. We run automatic checks to keep faked entries out of the rankings.
If you give us your email
Only if you type it into the sign-up box. We'll email you when the rankings update, and now and then about other things we're building. We keep your address, linked to the result you signed up from, until you ask us to remove it. Deleting your result doesn't delete your address unless you ask for both. To stop the emails, reply to any of them or write to hello@ordarr.com.
If you turn on notifications
Only if you tap Turn on notifications on your result. Your browser gives us an address its maker (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft) uses to deliver notifications to your device. We keep it with your result and the rank we last told you about, and send a notification when your rank changes, at most once a day. Turn them off on your result page or in your browser's settings and the address stops working; deleting your result deletes it too.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, how quickly they load, which site sent you, and your browser, device type and country, all as totals. It sets no cookies, doesn't identify you, and doesn't follow you to other sites.
Who helps us run the site
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores the data above and counts visits. Its request logs, which include IP addresses, are kept for up to 7 days to help us fix problems.
- Anthropic reads the time from your screenshot.
- Resend sends our emails, if you signed up.
- Your browser's maker delivers notifications, if you turned them on.
They handle your data on our behalf and only to provide these services. We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, or to have it deleted. Email hello@ordarr.com and include the link to your result page, which is how we find your entry. We will reply within 30 days.
